Burpees

Burpees – full body, fat burning exercise!

Here’s how to do it:

  • begin in squat position with hands on floor beside you
  • kick feet back to push up position
  • immediately return feet to squat position
  • jump as high as you can, raising arms over head
  • repeat – moving as fast as possible

NB. Keep a strong core through out movement.  Belly button drawn in, flat back in push up position.

Go fast + Jump high = Burn Calories!

Want to increase intensity even more?

  • Add a push up

  • Add a rollover

    • at push up position lower self to ground
    • extend one arm
    • rollover sideways toward the extended arm
    • complete full burpee
    • repeat rolling over other side

 

  • Add a Medicine Ball or BOSU

    • extend ball/BOSU over your head when you jump

 

  • Alternate 30 seconds Burpees with 30 seconds Boxing
