We are only days away from reopening and are excited to reconnect in person with you…physically distanced of course! 🙂
We encourage you to review the details below and definitely reach out if you have questions or feedback.
We are in this together and look forward to continuing to assist you in building your ideal body and lifestyle. Let’s work together to Ignite Your Potential in every area of life!
Since most members took advantage of our online option in March, not much will change other than having access to the gym facilities again.
Those of you who put your membership on hold will be reactivated on June 15th. Barclay facility members who cancelled and want to re-join, can do so online (www.barclayfitness.ca).
For those on the Essential membership that have enjoyed having access to our small group classes, you can continue accessing them online until our live, in-person classes resume. At that point, you can choose to upgrade to our Group membership.
Keep in mind that our group members get unlimited group sessions, PLUS access to our online member portal and class library. It’s a fantastic option!
Private coaching sessions have continued in an online format since March. Starting June 15th, we will be available again for in-person sessions at our Barclay facility (Life Plaza location will be reopening shortly too).
The even better news is that you now have three excellent options for coaching: Online, In-person, or a combination of the two. Our coaches will work with you to establish the schedule and format that works best for your needs. Please call, or contact us to book your training or coaching session
These great services are also back starting June 15th.
To help keep you and our staff safe, new stringent cleaning protocols are in place (see below for more details).
Our staff will be wearing masks when in the facility. Members are not required to wear masks, but we welcome you to wear one to keep yourself and others around you even safer.
Entry and exit locations will be changed so that members enter through the main door, and exit through the side door. This minimizes cross-traffic and helps maintain physical distancing guidelines.
Physical distancing will be practiced throughout the facility. We ask that you help us (and yourself) out by respecting these guidelines. Unfortunately (for now) this means “Air high fives” only! 🙂
Members are to maintain at least 2m (6″) of distance between them at all times. In activities requiring high effort or intensity (sprints, intervals, etc.), this minimum distancing guideline should be at least doubled. This increased risk is also why group classes are not currently running in our group studio.
If for some reason physical distancing isn’t possible, masks should be worn and thorough sanitizing should take place. (ie. for a private coaching session).
Change rooms will be limited to 2 people at a time. Members may wait outside the room until someone leaves. Washrooms are open, but showers will remain closed until further notice.
Towel service will also be suspended until further notice. We hope to bring this valued service back as soon as possible.
Each night, cleaners will do a “deep clean” using medical grade products. We will also be adding additional hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipe stations throughout the facilities.
Members will also be instructed to properly wipe down their equipment before and after use (including plates, bars, and dumbbells).
Staff will be conducting multiple “cleaning sweeps” each day to clean high traffic and high-touch surfaces with medical grade cleaners.
